Murray Medical Centre is the largest private medical clinic in the area, with over 20 doctors as well as nurses on staff at this private clinic. We are able to offer an integrative medical and psychological service, where doctor and psychologist work together as a team collaborating with you the patient.

Studies have shown that psychologists who are co-located with doctors at a medical practice are more effective. Some people are still sensitive to the stigma of mental health. Patients are able to see their psychologist with relative anonymity because they are attending a general medical practice for their appointments. As a psychologist working at this medical practice I also benefit from being able to confer with doctors at any time and to better case-manage for patient’s needs. For example, if medication is needed I am able to talk to the referring GP about this so that the best of medicine as well as counselling and psychotherapy is available.
